HTC to Supply WCDMA Handsets to NTT DoCoMo

According to recent Taiwanese media reports, Taiwanese HTC is expected to sign an agreement with NTT DoCoMo in the near future whereby the company will supply WCDMA handsets to the Japanese operator. Shipments will start in the second quarter of 2006. HTC has built strong relations with European and US operators, but until now the company had not yet made any inroads into the Japanese mobile phone market.
